Try to shop locally when you can and ask questions about the contents of the toys and the manufacturing process.<br />
</br><br />
<a href="http://www.plantoys.com/index.php">Plan Toys</a> are widely available. These are made out of organic rubber wood, non-toxic glue and water based dye. The company has a strong environmental stance. My child has several of these toys. They are indestructible and really cute. </br><br />
</br><br />
</br><br />
<a href="http://www.greentoys.com">Green Toys</a> are toys made out of recycled milk jugs in California.</p>
<p><object width="300" height="225"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/se23hJXThuc&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en_US&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/se23hJXThuc&#038;color1=0xb1b1b1&#038;color2=0xcfcfcf&#038;hl=en_US&#038;feature=player_embedded&#038;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="300" height="225"></embed></object><br />
